-Hello Tiger Thespians! My name is Ms. Swafford, and I am your Director. This is my seventh year at Travis High School and my twelfth year teaching theatre! I am an honor graduate of Texas State University - San Marcos, (eat 'em up Cats!), where I received my BFA in Theatre. I am a native Houstonian, animal lover and all around theatre nerd! ;) I am so excited for the 2021-2022 school year and all of the opportunities that it will bring. It is a GREAT day to be a Travis Tiger THESPIAN!

Technical Director: Alexis Gette
Alexis Gette has been involved in the theatre since she was kindergarten student in Amarillo, Texas. She was always a nerdy observer of all things "performance" and "education," which led her to finding her passion for educational theatre as a high school student at Grand Prairie High School, where she graduated in 2009. After graduating, she pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre, with an emphasis is Acting and Direction from Southwestern University, and a Master of Arts degree in Theatre Performance from Texas A&M University- Commerce. Ms.Gette is a proud alumni of Teach for America, a program which allowed her to teach high school math in the Alabama Black Belt before officially moving back to Texas to begin the journey as a theatre educator. Ms.Gette migrated to Houston 5 years ago, and absolutely loves everything except how the weather affects her hair. The last 2 years, Ms.Gette served as the head director at Bowie Middle School right down Harlem, and loved her students so much she had to follow them to high school. Though this is her first year as a Travis Tiger, she looks forward to being part of the incredible campus family, Travis Theatrical Company and community for years to come.
